1. Pause and Check In
Start with one question: How am I, really?
We go through our days on autopilot, rarely stopping to notice how we truly feel. A few moments of honest self-check-in—without judgment—can help ground you in the present.
Tip: Place a hand on your heart. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply and ask, “What do I need right now?” The answer might surprise you.

2. Nourish Your Body
Self-care begins with the basics. Have you eaten something nourishing? Had enough water? Stretched your body? Rested?
Caring for your body is an act of love. You don’t need a perfect diet or a full workout, just small, kind actions that say, “I care about you.”

3. Do One Thing That Brings You Peace
Even five minutes of doing something that brings you calm can reset your mood. It could be sipping tea slowly, journaling, listening to music, watching the clouds, or simply sitting in silence.
Peace doesn’t have to be big. It just needs to be real.

4. Set One Gentle Boundary
Protecting your energy is self-care. Say NO to what drains you. Say yes to what restores you. Boundaries aren’t walls—they’re bridges to healthier relationships with yourself and others.
Ask yourself: What do I need to say no to today, so I can say yes to myself?

5. Be Kind to Your Inner Voice
We all have an inner critic. But you also have an inner nurturer—the part of you that understands, forgives, and cheers you on.
Try replacing one harsh thought with something softer.
Instead of “I’m so behind,” say, “I’m doing the best I can, and that’s enough.”
This shift can change everything.

Self-care doesn’t need to be perfect or pretty. It just needs to be real, consistent, and yours. In the midst of all the demands life brings, may you always remember to come home to yourself.
You are worthy of rest. Of care. Of peace.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
~ Carl Rogers
